Rat Race

Rat Race is a two-players co-op 3D arcade game, where as rats you get to operate a broken down car and get as far as you can from evil scientists! Together, drive the vehicle, dodge the obstacles and navigate through various adversities on the road to escape their clutches!

Cooperate and communicate with your teammate, as controlling a car as two rats is not as easy as it may seem! Look out for the obstacles, hot wire the car to fix malfunctions and keep your distance from the pursuers! Jump in behind the wheel or down next to the pedals and engine and sit tight! REMEMBER: it's a race against time, in which anything can go haywire!

DOWNLOAD INSTRUCTIONS

The game was intended as a two-player arcade game, so to get the closest to the target experience of the original game with a PC build, playing in the two-player version is highly recommended.

Download the two-player or single-player version of the game (titled accordingly). Extract the .zip file and open the application.

For two-players version: 

Set up a second monitor (as the 2nd computer display) and connect a gaming controller to the computer.  Ideally, the players should not see each other's screens.

The 1st player is to play on the computer and use the computer keyboard, while the 2nd player is to play in front of the monitor and use the controller.

The controls for the 1st Player are: 

• Up and Down Arrow - Move forward and Move backwards, Skip dialogue
• Z - Fix motor fire (Reduce temperature and stop the fire and smoke)
• X - Connect "Start" Wire / Start Game
• C - Clean windshield
• V - Use Nitro (speedboost) 

The controls for the 2nd Player are: 

• Left joystick (Horizontal movement) - Turn/Steer left and right

For single-player version:

The controls are: 

• W / ↑ (Up Arrow) and S / ↓ (Down Arrow) - Move forward and Move backwards, Skip dialogue
• A / ← (Left Arrow) and D / → (Right Arrow) - Turn/Steer left and right
• Z - Fix motor fire (Reduce temperature and stop the fire and smoke)
• X - Start Game / Continue Game
• C - Clean windshield
• V - Use Nitro (speedboost)
